Emily Cammock won the Dunstan Feeds CIC3* on Shaw Lee at McLeans Island over the weekend, to take the South Island Eventing title. She had to come from behind after the dressage test, but showjumped clear with 2 time penalties, going into the cross-country in the lead, where her experience saw her seal the deal with a fast clear round.
Corey Wood led the dressage on Pick Up Line, but dropped behind Cammock with 11 showjumping time penalties, and had a problem on the cross-country resulting in further penalties. Cammock filled second place on her second horse, Lewis, with Lydia Truesdale third on Allander Rocket, stepping up to elite level for the first time.
Cammock on Shaw Lee was the only rider to score major points in the ESNZ Eventing Super League due to the small size of the class.
The next event where riders are able to earn Super League points is the Australian International Three-day Event at Adelaide next weekend. Kiwis competing there, who have already started in a leg of the series in New Zealand, will be able to include points they earn there in their ESNZ Super League Tally.
